There are essentially two breakfast spots in Highlands if you don't eat at your hotel or buy groceries. This was the quick stop. The coffee was fine, but they don't appear to make any food in house (including the pastries which looked like they came from Costco), which is really a shame. I work at a busy coffee shop in Atlanta and we make everything in house down to the bagels and cream cheese, so the minimal effort was disappointing. I guess it's all about expediting as much stuff out the door as possible. They couldn't even add tomato to my English muffin (which they took out of what looked like an airplane meal tray) and they had no salt packets?! Coffee hipsters, now is the time to open a real shop with real food in Highlands. You'll make a killing.

Very goid and relaxing

The girl at the counter never greeted us, was less than friendly, was looking down and picking her nails as we ordered. She treated us as if we were interrupting her day. She was snippy and rude. The food was overheated and my sandwich was hard after cooling off. And the coffee cake was stone cold. We won't ever come back and I dont get the hype.

Way overheating their espresso, probably because it was cold outside but they’ve way overcompensated for the temperature. It tastes burnt and was too hot to drink for the half hour I was sitting inside. Also would love to see them finding a way to not have every pastry wrapped in plastic before being served. Friendly people and nice music/atmosphere, just need to finesse the products.

Not a wide range of food

This is an awesome coffee shop on Main St in the lovely mountain town of Highlands, NC! I met the owner who is so enthusiastic about her new shop...one reason, I'm sure, for the good vibes of this place. It is clean and welcoming, not to mention, the coffe is delicious! There are very good pastries, too. Also a good place to do some catching up on emails or reading while savoring the goodies. I will be coming back here whenever I am in Highlands. Best wishes to the owners of this wonderful new coffee shop!! And thank you!

Extremely good service. They ask exactly what you would like and want in your coffee and if you want to heat the pastries that you order. There is an extremely good variety of pastries to go with your coffee.

We enjoyed coffee twice at this delightful little shop during a recent weekend getaway. We love trying out local coffee establishments, and this one is fantastic. Friendly, efficient service. High quality delicious coffee.

No greeting. Almost rude

Great locally owned coffee shop right in the heart of downtown Highlands! While exploring the area, this was the perfect stop to grab a coffee and a snack. The owner said that they had recently remodeled, and you could see the striking results.

Miss Buck, but service is quicker! Much needed for coffee in the am. One suggestion, bring back the “quote a day” chalkboard.

Love this place and highly recommend! My husband and I had breakfast here while in Highlands for our honeymoon and loved the atmosphere. We both got a bacon egg and cheese english muffin and it was very toasty and delicious. Coffee was also great. There is plenty of seating and it has a very cozy vibe.

The coffee is great, the owners are great, the staffs is great. It is full of history. It is relaxing and cozy!! What else could you want!! Be there or be square!!!

Very nice coffee shop, plenty of space, confortable seats, nice staff. The almond milk cappucino was average though... the foam was not up to my standards. The banana nut muffin was delicous thoigh.
